Here is the premise: Through a series of misunderstandings, Alvin, Simon and Theodore come to believe that Dave is going to propose to his new girlfriend in Miami…and dump them. They have three days to get to him and stop the proposal, saving themselves not only from losing Dave but possibly from gaining a terrible stepbrother.
Ok, so this Christmas, everyone will flock to a galaxy far far away; this is going to be the perfect time for families with little kids to go see the newest Chipmunk movie. Basically, if you love the Chipmunks then you will love this movie. By the same token, if you cannot stand the other films or the old cartoon or songs from our three heroes, then stay away from ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: ROAD CHIP.
What the movie lacks in story, it makes up for in cuteness and hearing the Chipmunks doing their version of our favorite songs (my favorite from this installment was Uptown Funk.) The Chipmunks are always going to be a staple for the kiddos and they will find them funny and cute; and come on folks, they are the target audience after all. . So if you want to take the kids to a family friendly movie that will wow them, then take them to ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS: ROAD CHIP.
