9.4

Here’s the premise:  Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption, before everything goes to hell.

OMG….part Tarantino, part Hitchcock, part Coen Brothers; El Royal works on all cylinders to bring us a twisted piece of storytelling where no one is who they say they are. Beautifully unfolds to reveal each character and their secrets, and shows their inner character as the movie progresses.

The acting is superb, a mash up of awesome actors coming together to create a modern masterpiece. Jon Hamm steals the show at the beginning but Chris Hemsworth blew me away with his Manson-isk character, his character is very charismatic and is bigger than the screen. The rest of the ensemble cast are awesome as well, and take their turns to shine and share their secrets.

The writing is fantastic and will have you on the edge of your seat. Everything, and I mean everything works in this movie; I highly recommend it.
