Capital City Black Film Festival is proud to bring you this monthly highlight of films with Black casts, Black crew and telling Black stories. Here’s September’s Black Films Coming to the Big Screen spotlight:
Night School
Night School is a comedy blockbuster starring Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish. It follows a group of troublemakers who must attend night school so they can pass the GED exam and finish high school. It comes out September 28.
Monsters and Men
Monsters and Men is a hard-hitting drama that follows the aftermath of a police killing of a Black man, told through the eyes of the bystander who filmed the murder, a high-school baseball player, and a Black police officer. The film will be released on September 28.
