Tue October 24 @ 12:00 pm | 5:30 pm

| Free

The BLACK LIVES MATTERED THEN AND NOW: Slavery, Capitalism, and the Continuing Search for Racial Justice plenary brings together scholars of slavery and civil rights to discuss and analyze the Black Lives Matter movement historically and contemporaneously. In so doing, we hope to stimulate a wider conversation about racial justice, social movements, and democracy on the 40 Acres and the wider city of Austin, state of Texas, and the entire nation.
