Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw Review

Fellow movie-goers: A breath of fresh air for a series that has needed it for a while.

Here’s the premise:  Lawman Luke Hobbs (Johnson) and outcast Deckard Shaw (Statham) form an unlikely alliance when a cyber-genetically enhanced villain Elba) threatens the future of humanity.

Although the trailer looked really great, I was not really looking forward to another Fast and Furious piece, to me it has gotten a bit stale; but this was a very fun ride, much like the first time I saw Fast and Furious.

Writer Chris Morgan and Director David Leitch have breathed new life into the franchise with this spin off, and I want to see more of Hobbs and Shaw soon. I will have to saw, I was skeptical about the venture into sci-fi, but I thought it was done very well, the blend of sci-fi and action and the wonderful banter between Johnson and Statham was perfect. It was a thrill ride from start to finish.

The acting was great, the story was fun and exciting, and the special effects were phenomenal!!! It worked on all levels and I was glad I got to see it.

I highly recommend HOBBS AND SHAW, see it on the big screen, you’ll be glad you did.
