The second movie in the Grey trilogy, this movie was by far more interesting. It might not be if you weren’t a fan of the first one (to which I say, why even see the second one when you know you might not like it?). There’s so much more than just sex, it truly starts becoming a love story. Anastasia must struggle with the envy and anger that comes with Christians past, as Christian struggles with trying to change the ways he’s used to so he can keep the love of his life. There are many road bumps in the way, including crazy ex’s and pervy bosses. There are many twist and turns, good and bad, that just keep getting crazier and crazier. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll feel a little uncomfortable. This isn’t exactly what you would call the most amazing love story, but it really is a good story about changing for the better for someone you love. There are many beautiful scenes that bring the story to life. And I can honestly say that I am excited for the third movie.
Of course I read the book, so I was expecting just a little bit more with a couple of the scenes, and there was a couple of things out of place, but if you haven’t read the books you won’t be lost and everything will come as a shock. It does a great job with setting up the third movie. I highly recommend this second installment, especially if you have read the books, you will not be disappointed.
