Fellow movie-goers: Loved it just as much as FINDING NEMO.

Here’s the premise: Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is now settled in right next door to Marlin (Albert Brooks) and Nemo (Hayden Rolence) and they are best of friends. Dory’s memory issues continues, but she is now starting to have memories of her parents and where to find them, so she, Marlin, and Nemo set out to find her family.

It has been 13 years since we found Nemo and fell in love with him and all the other wonderful aquatic characters, and thanks to Ellen DeGeneres campaigning for a sequel, we get to find them all over again. This time around, the loveable but forgetful Dory takes center stage but we still see some old favorites along with some new ones along the way. My favorite new character is Hank (Ed O’Neill) who is an octopus who helps Dory along the way.

Finding Dory does everything right, it has the heart of FINDING NEMO, and like its predecessor, moves easily from heart strings being pulled to laugh out loud comedy from scene to scene. Pixar knows its audience and delivers a solid movie to satisfy all those Nemo lovers out there. It’s just as beautiful as the first film, and filled with unforgettable characters all the way through. Kaitlin Olsen plays a childhood friend of Dory and the awesome Eugene Levy and Diane Keaton play her parents. Kids young and old, as well as adults will love this movie; very well done and very well paced to keep the kids interested the whole way. The 3D does not add much to the film, so I would save yourself some money and just go for the 2D, but I do recommend FINDING DORY whole heartedly.
