Hustlers Review

Jennifer Lopez is back and sets the screen on FIRE!!!

Here’s the premise:  Inspired by the viral New York Magazine article, Hustlers follows a crew of savvy former strip club employees who band together to turn the tables on their Wall Street clients. Ramona (Lopez) devises a plan to fleece rich men by drugging them and taking their money.

First and foremost, Jennifer Lopez is absolutely mesmerizing in this film, and not just how hot she is, but her performance 犀利士
is the best she has been in a long time. While the rest of the cast does a great job, J-Lo takes the lead and commands the stage, like her character in the film; we all want to follow her on her adventure.

The script is fantastic, we see the good and the bad side of the stripping business, we see the struggles when they are down and we see the fun and friendship when things are good; while there is a much darker side to the business, this film was not focused on that. Director and screenwriter Lorena Scafaria shows us the human side of these girls, good and bad. While I do not condone what they did, I found myself wondering if many of us would follow such a leader as these girls did, if times were really tough. I give the movie props for showing us this part and letting the audience sort out good from bad.

Overall, this is a movie some will hate and others will love; if you go into thinking this is a movie about strippers, then that is what you will glean from it; but if you take it all in as a human interest story, you might be surprised.
