Here is the premise: Jack Reacher (Cruise) must uncover the truth behind a major government conspiracy in order to clear his name. On the run as a fugitive from the law, Reacher uncovers a potential secret from his past that could change his life forever. Reacher teams up with Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders), to find out who is framing the two of them.

Tom Cruise always makes his movies fun, it’s a time to just go and enjoy the adventure; you may not always get award winners, but you will always get an entertaining film. Jack Reacher was one of my favorite movies of Cruise in a long time so I was really looking forward to the sequel. I enjoyed the sequel, it has plenty of action, fighting, humor, and sentiments as well; a great blend of all (although there are plot lines that are paper thin and easy to figure out) and it does a good job juggling these areas for the most part.

As far as acting, everyone was top notch, I think Cruise is awesome in whatever he does, he seems to always give 150% to all of his characters. I was also impressed with Cobie Smulders, who is best known for playing Robin in HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, she is fantastic in this movie and she and Cruise play off of each other rather well. The movie does rely on quite a few tired story lines, but I was in it for the ride and enjoyed it all anyway.

If you liked the first movie, you will enjoy the sequel.
