Lily’s List: Sprung on Spring

[vessel-campaign id=”129″] It hasn’t exactly felt like it lately but spring has sprung! Patio weather is finally here to stay and Austin has plenty of places to enjoy the beautiful spring weather while dining or having a couple drinks with friends. Here are my favorite spots to enjoy the outdoors and do some good people watching.

PERLAS

If you’re feeling fancy, Perla’s is one of the best upscale seafood experiences in Austin. The large patio has huge oak trees and outdoor sofas, providing a relaxed almost vacation-like vibe. There is an oyster bar and fresh market seafood is served daily.
Located at 1400 S Congress Ave

CULINARY DROPOUT

Culinary Dropout is a great place for people watching at the Domain. Their patio has high tables, ping pong and other games and they feature live musicians on certain nights. The food is good and they have interesting cocktails.

EL AMA

If it’s margaritas you’re looking for, don’t sleep on El Alma. The upstairs patio is the place to on a warm spring evening and if it happens to get cool there are blankets and heat lamps to keep you cozy. The food El Alma is decent but there is better Mexican food in Austin. The margaritas, mezcal cocktails and guacamole are the stars here. A solid happy choice for sure.
Located at 1025 Barton Springs Rd,

THE GROVE WINE BAR

The Grove is a wonderful place to try new things. They have a huge wine list and offer wine and champagne flights so you can sample several different types of wine and learn a little about what you are drinking as well. They have a big menu with pizzas, burgers, pasta and some delicious salads.

Located at several Austin locations.

LORO

Loro is an Asian smokehouse with an excellent innovative menu. They do have cool cocktails like frozen gin and tonics and mango sake slushies but the food here is the star. The patio is gorgeous with picnic tables and rocking chairs for chilling and people watching.

Located at 115 S Lamar Blvd.
