Protest

Precariously, we move through murky, albeit familiar territory. Have we been here before or is this time different? The fight feels the same but clearly something has changed. Surreptitiously, it happened. While we were each going though our own struggles; struggles within ourselves, struggles within our communities, there was a shift. What is this growing awareness of a global community? This sense of a movement that is larger than the individual or one marginalized group? I personally would like to thank the Internet for opening our eyes. Thank you, Internet. Along with all the ridiculous and mind boggling things you have showed us, you have also enlightened us, we are growing as a species. We are not alone and we are constantly reminded of that. This is the first step to true change, acknowledging our connection to one another.
