Ready to try a Cookie Monster Taco from TacoSweets?

TacoSweets is a food truck that makes just what its name says. They serve up delectable ice cream tacos in all kinds of flavors in a waffle taco shell with Blue Bell Ice cream.

DeShawn Scott and his fiancée Jessica Wareham purchased TacoSweets in 2017. Located at 5000 Burnet Rd., TacoSweets is open Tuesday-Friday from 5pm-9pm and Saturday from 1pm-9pm. You’ll also be able to catch TacoSweets at the 2018 Soul Food Truck Fest on October 27th!

What’s on the menu?

TacoSweets features 8 signature tacos, and customers can choose from 5 different ice creams and a variety of toppings.

Some big hitters on the menu include the Cookie Monster Taco, made with cookies and cream ice cream, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Oreo crumbles, Chips Ahoy!, and caramel syrup and the Breakfast Taco with vanilla ice cream, Fruity Loops, Fruity Pebbles, Fruit Loops, Captain Crunch with berries and blue funfetti syrup.

What’s a customer favorite?

One of the most talked about tacos is the S’more Lovin’, made with vanilla ice cream, chocolate chips, marshmallows, crumbled graham crackers, and chocolate syrup.

Why is TacoSweets participating in Soul Food Truck Fest?

Scott said he wants to build relationships with other minority food truck owners and the community during the festival.
