  • I’d like to nominate my friend Kisha for the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway. She is a single mother of 2 older teenage daughters. One is 19 and the other is 17. Right out of high school she joined the marine corps, found her husband, and then was honorably discharged after 8 years of service to be a full time parent. Years later her husband left her and their kids high and dry without a foot to stand on. He moved on and had a new family with their ex nanny. Meanwhile she has been struggling ever since to make sure her daughters have been taken care of. It hasn’t been easy and she has had a hard road with a lot of sacrifice. That is why I’d like to nominate her for the Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway to give them all a wonderful holiday. I admire her greatly and I hope that her daughters can, one day, appreciate all that she has done to keep them safe, fed and clothed through the years.

  • I’d like to nominate a single mother of 6. The world has definitely wound her around and she’s always trying to go the extra mile for them all. Every little bit helps and she makes sure it goes a long way. Family holidays do help instill positivity and unity in an unstable world.

I would like to nominate my Church “Love FellowShip Christian Center ” this year for the thanksgiving turkey giveaway. My church does this thing called the “blessing bags” were we make bags for the homeless that are located directly outside of the church with food, clothes and hygiene products. It will be a blessing to be able to pass out whole turkeys to the homeless that are located outside and all around the church for thanksgiving this year. No one deserves to be hungry or starve for that matter. I appreciate all that you do for the community and hope you will select us for the giveaway. God bless and be safe.

  • I would like to nominate the senior citizens located in West Dallas, at 2680 Bickers St. Dallas, Texas 75212 (Village of Lake West Senior Community) and (The Potter’s House at Primrose-Active Senior Living) located at 2515 Perryton, Dallas, TX 75233 . There are over 300 seniors we are looking to bless this Thanksgiving season. My ministry, Bread of Life Ministries of North Dallas has been servicing these locations and others for over 3 years by taking them food, clothing and furnishings whenever possible. Unfortunately last year the head pastor Travis Brown took ill and we were forced to end our contract with our food source that normally supplied the bread, food and turkeys. In March of this year he passed away and I am now in charge of making things happen for our seniors that we cherish dearly. I’m requesting three hundred turkeys to be divided between the two locations. Please contact me Apostle Duana Brown, at (214) 694-3101 or (214) 779-8842 Day or Night.

  • I would like to nominate Mary Hargrave, she lost everything when Harvey destroyed her rental home. She is a very giving person that helps renovate homes for returning wounded warriors and the needy with Habitat for Humanity. She also teaches self-defense to vulnerable children and others, I have never seen her passing someone in need whether it be offering her air compressor to someone with a flat or helping a Walmart employee stow a heavy rolled up rug. I know she could use help with having a real Thanksgiving but won’t ask because she figures someone else needs it more. She has been stuck in a hotel in Austin since Harvey surviving on ramen and PB & J sandwiches.
