Atomic Blonde is a High energy action thriller that takes place in Berlin on the eve of the fall of the Berlin Wall amid the ever shifting power struggle between the East and West. Directed by David Leithch, Atomic Blonde stars Charlize Theron who portrays Lorraine Broughton, a top-level spy for MI6, who is dispatched to Berlin to take down a ruthless espionage ring that has just killed an undercover agent for reasons unknown. She is ordered to cooperate with Berlin station Chief David Percival (James McAvoy, and the two form an uneasy alliance, unleashing their full arsenal of skills in pursuing a threat that jeopardizes the West’s entire intelligence operation. Rounding out the cast are John Goodman, Sofia Boutella and Toby Jones.

I really liked this movie, I do it a small dis-service by comparing it to John Wick in which they both involve some kind of high level spy type persona. Atomic Blonde differs in a way that it is more stylish and is moved along by an exceptional soundtrack. Since the movie takes place in the 80’s most of the sound track is made of songs from that era. Atomic Blonde in 2 words “Kicks Ass” Charlize Theron “Kicks Ass”. Atomic Blonde is a character that Charlize Theron can parley into a franchise.  I highly recommend this movie.
