The Longhorns are back on top, and Austin is buzzing like a beehive on game day!
Our Texas boys just rolled back into class as the number one team in the nation, something we haven’t seen since your little cousin was in diapers. And let’s talk about the new kid on the block โ Arch Manning. This young gun had the whole stadium shook with his performance, making folks wonder if we might be seeing more of him real soon.
Now, don’t get it twisted. The OGs on the team know that championships aren’t won in September. But you can’t blame them for feeling themselves a little bit seeing that big ol’ number one next to the Longhorn logo.
Remember when we were 5-7 just a minute ago? Yeah, we’re trying to forget too. But senior tight end Gunnar Helm put it best: “To be the team to bring us back to No. 1 is an honor.” Facts, Gunnar, facts.
Coach Sark’s keeping it real, though. He’s been around the block with USC and Bama, so he knows the deal. “Back in the day, the polls were huge,” he said. “Nowadays, you have to go earn it.” Preach, coach!
And let’s not forget about our boy Quinn Ewers. He was out here looking like a Heisman contender before he got sidelined. But that’s when Manning stepped up and had everybody’s jaws on the floor.
The buzz around Manning is real, but Sark’s not letting it get to anybody’s head. “Arch is just another guy on our team,” he said. And Manning’s keeping it humble too, calling Ewers one of his best friends on the team.
So, what’s next for our Longhorns? They’ve got Louisiana-Monroe coming up, but all eyes are on that SEC schedule kicking off with Mississippi State.
Bottom line, fam: The Longhorns are hungry for more than just a number one ranking. They’re out here trying to be legendary. And if they keep this energy up, we might just see them bring home that national title.
Stay tuned, Austin. This season’s about to be wilder than karaoke Thursdays at Taterque!
