Here’s the premise:  Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara) , and the family is forced to go on the run.

Maxxxine is a masterpiece of a film that truly ties together Ti West’s X trilogy. It’s distinctly different from the other two films with a style of its own while still having many of the same elements that make the trilogy work. The way it builds on the first movie and what we learn in it while still having a unique and exciting plotline is refreshing and makes the movie stand out from many other sequels currently coming out. Truly one of the best films of the year, with a plot twist that is truly impossible to predict, it’s a must-see for any horror fans.
