Here’s the premise: Gru, Lucy, Margo, Edith, and Agnes welcome a new member to the family, Gru Jr., who is intent on tormenting his dad. Gru faces a new nemesis in Maxime Le Mal (Will Ferrell) and his girlfriend Valentina (Sofia Vergara) , and the family is forced to go on the run.
While not quite as good as the original, it is still more entertaining than most of the kid’s movies out right now. I really appreciate that with every Despicable Me movie series, they have advanced the story and developed new villains and heroes, they have not stayed stagnate.
The Minions still remain the best comic relief, and kids and adults alike love them so keeping them around in all the situations they get into was very smart and worked to keep the littlest of kids happy. I also love that this franchise entertains the adults as well as the kids, they have the tricks down to keep everyone satisfied and entertained.
The addition of Ferrell and Vergara was a lot of fun, and if they can keep up the humor and storyline while advancing the characters, they could make these and make me happy for a while.
I highly recommend this movie, take the family and enjoy the fun.
