Black Austinites are often invisible where significant city-wide initiatives are concerned, and the impact of our absence often causes unintended, but consequential, damage to the city’s image and the ability of all communities to participate in its forward progress. We now have an opportunity to use our voices to inform key decisions being made in the city.
AALI is designed to enhance civic awareness and leadership opportunities to affect the long-term action required to create equity, opportunity, and a higher quality of life for all citizens. In partnership with 212 Catalysts and Measure Austin, we are working to encourage businesses that are moving their operations to Austin to leverage their influence to make a positive impact on our society – but we need you to help us tell them where their efforts would be best directed.
