As the sun is setting on this summer weather, we know you want to take advantage of the summer fun just a little bit longer. We present to you a handpicked list of 5 things to do before summer ends!
1. SUNSET AT THE OASIS
It’s just not summer unless you’ve seen at least one sunset at The Oasis on Lake Travis. The food is less than stellar, but there’s nothing quite like that view. Eat before you go and order up one of their specialty Hurricane drinks. I highly recommend the Spiced Bahama Colada.
2. RAS DAY
RAS Day is an all-day family-friendly festival featuring a diverse musical lineup, interactive activities and overall good vibes. Riders Against the Storm are all about culture and community. Rapper/ musician/ poet Saul Williams is headlining a dope lineup of incredible artists and DJ’s. You don’t want to miss this inspiring annual event, issa real vibe.
3. LIVE OAK BREWERY
Sipping a cold refreshing craft beer under a giant oak tree while a gentle breeze blows sound like your jam? Live Oak consistently brews good and interesting beers and they offer flights so you can sample each one of them. Shaded outdoor seating, a food truck, and great beer? Sounds like the makings of a lovely summer afternoon to me.
4. ROSÉ WEDNESDAYS
I happen to live for rosè and there’s no better place to enjoy it than Trace Front Yard at the W Hotel. All summer long they are offering half-priced bottles of rose and $7 frozè on Wednesdays from 5-7 pm. They have different DJ’s every week and a menu of small bites to munch on while you sip and people watch. As noted on their website, nearby street-side parking is available, as well as discounted valet parking for $9 (up to 3hrs ) at the W Austin for all TRACE guests with validation.
5. THE GROOVE THEORY
Groove Theory End of Summer Bash – DJ Kay Cali knows how to rock a party, so what better way to celebrate the end of summer than at Groove Theory?! This is one of the first parties I ever attended in Austin and it’s just gotten better with time. Get fresh and head over to Moonfire Lounge to hear the best in Neo-Soul, R&B, and Reggae.
