Fellow movie-goers: Cheesy, predictable, yet still fun
Here is the premise: Arthur Bishop (Statham) thought he had put his murderous past behind him when his most formidable foe kidnaps the love of his life. Now he is forced to travel the globe to complete three impossible assassinations, and do what he does best, make them look like accidents.
The script could have been better, it was pretty cheesy and predictable and the dialog was not wonderful. I did like the main theme, although it has been done to death (pun intended.) The whole kidnapped love one to get you to do my bidding is getting a little old, but once you get past that then the movie is fun. It does not get to the level of the first Mechanic movie, but it was still pretty entertaining.
Statham does a fantastic job, but Alba was not so good, good thing she has her sexiness to save her portion of this film. Tommy Lee Jones was great as well, but I have never seen him in anything that he wasn’t good.
I recommend this sequel but not full for full price, go to a matinee on a lazy Saturday and you will enjoy it.
