President Biden has Dropped Out of the 2024 Presidential Race

President Biden steps down from presidential race and endorses Vice President Harris

With Senator James “JD” Vance (R-OH) accepting the nomination to be former President Donald Trump’s new running mate, President Joe Biden was receiving more and more pressure to drop out of the presidential race to give the Democratic Party a better chance of winning. However, his team stayed adamant until the end that he was not backing down.

Unable to be on the frontlines due to currently having COVID, President Biden called for an all-staff meeting last Friday where it was speculated that he would make his final decision on whether or not he would  continue to run for president in the upcoming election. It was also said that former President Barack Obama and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi both suggested that President Biden secede to give the Democratic Party a better chance of winning the presidency.

It has been announced today, July 21, 2022, that President Biden has stepped down as the Democratic Party presidential candidate for 2024. He has also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the new candidate.

It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.

Before today, many people thought that Vice President Harris would  step up in his place. There were also speculations about her potential running mate being Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY), or Gov. Roy Cooper (D-NC). More solid information will be available regarding this matter soon.
