Dream Con 2024 had so many talented creators, it was hard to take a step without seeing someone from your favorite platform, and Elizabeth Kailee, better known as Pink Sakura, was definitely one of them for us. We were lucky enough to speak with her in between panels.
If you’re not familiar, Pink Sakura is a dynamic and engaging Twitch streamer who captivates her audience with a blend of charm, wit, and exceptional content creation skills. With a passion for creating a positive and inclusive community, she brings a vibrant energy to each stream, making viewers feel like they are part of something special. Whether she’s showcasing fashion, gaming while wearing one of her pet snakes, or building a car (you read that right), Pink Sakura’s genuine enthusiasm shines through, drawing in viewers from all walks of life.
“I kind of blew up as an e-date girl because I was on Adin Ross and Kai Cenat’s e-dates and won both of those, and that’s how I got my traction. Then I just took it to a different direction because I didn’t really want to stay in that,” she said.
Her top three platforms are Twitch, X, and Instagram, and she favors each for different reasons. Twitch is best for streaming. She feels X is more personal with her followers because she can post her feelings or ask a question and get instant replies. While Instagram is her overall favorite platform to use, she doesn’t feel it’s as personal. So she prefers to use Twitch or X to interact with her followers.
Last year was Pink Sakura’s first time attending Dream Con, and she came as a spectator, popping in and out of panels and events to get a feel for the convention. So coming back this year as official talent, she said she was very grateful for the opportunity. “I kind of doubt myself because I’m not a huge creator. I don’t have millions of followers. So when I get opportunities like this, I just get really grateful, and I’m like oh my gosh! I am somebody!” she explained. She also shared that the biggest thing she gets from attending Dream Con is being around her friends and fellow streamers in real life.
