Second Annual Texas Table: A Feast for A Cause Returns to Lenoir

Lenoir in South Austin will again host the 2nd annual “Texas Table: A Feast with a Cause” by The Cook’s Nook.

The Cook’s Nook is excited to announce the much-anticipated return of “Texas Table: A Feast for A Cause”, a unique fundraising dinner aimed at combating the pressing issue of food insecurity in Central Texas.

Set to take place on February 25, 2025, at the picturesque Lenoir in South Austin, this event promises an evening filled with culinary artistry and a commitment to community welfare. “Texas Table” is designed as a five-course dining experience that celebrates Texas’ rich culinary heritage while fostering a sense of community. The event not only offers a delightful gastronomic journey but also serves as a platform for supporting organizations that are making significant contributions to the Austin community.

Last year’s inaugural event was a tremendous success, raising over $17,000 for local organizations Black Mama’s ATX and Partners for Education, Agriculture, and Sustainability (PEAS). These funds were instrumental in improving maternal health outcomes and providing vital environmental education to Austin’s youth. This year, proceeds will benefit two impactful organizations: the Alliance for African American Health in Central Texas (AAAHCT) and Austin Youth River Watch (AYRW). Both organizations are dedicated to promoting health equity and environmental stewardship within the community.
