When their daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) invites them to her wedding to a man she has known for only a few months; David (George Clooney) and Georgia (Julie Roberts) (who are divorced) find themselves on a shared mission to stop their lovestruck daughter from making the same mistake they once made.
This was a fun movie, and a very well-done Rom-com, although predictable, Clooney and Roberts make it fun and funny. As the story unfolds, the two do a great job conveying a couple that had a bitter break-up but still have a spark of what once was. It was awesome seeing this unfold, as they worked to “help” their daughter.
One of the brightest young stars nowadays, in my opinion, is Kaitlyn Dever who plays Lily. Kaitlyn shines in everything she does, and this is no exception, working with veteran actors does not intimidate her and she shows she can go toe to toe with them.
If you are looking for a good romantic Rom-com with plenty of laughs, I highly recommend this movie.
