Here’s the premise: After a lifetime of legendary heists, notorious criminals Mr. Wolf (Sam Rockwell), Mr. Snake (Marc Maron), Mr. Piranha (Anthony Ramos), Mr. Shark (Craig Robinson) and Ms. Tarantula (Awkwafina are finally caught. To avoid a prison sentence, the animal outlaws must pull off their most challenging con yet — becoming model citizens. Under the tutelage of their mentor, Professor Marmalade (Richard Ayoade), the dubious gang sets out to fool the world that they’re turning good.

Great movie with a good lesson for kids about never being too late to change. While the plot is not exactly a new one, it’s done in a different way with the animated version, and the voice actors do an awesome job and pull this off effectively. The bad guys is one of those movies that the kids and adults both will like; the characters will appeal to the kids and the humor will appeal to all ages. Sam Rockwell leads the cast, and as always, does a fantastic job and even in animated form he steals the show. My other favorite of the movie is Craig Robinson, who plays Mr. Shark, he also steals the show and has the lion’s share of the funny lines.

My only objection, from the adult side, is it was so predictable; while kids will not care, the surprise twist is no surprise for people older than 13. I would have loved to have had to think a little harder, but this does not ruin the movie for me.

Overall, this is a solid movie that the whole family can enjoy, great family date night, I highly recommend it.
