RichesArt Gallery’s Newest Exhibit ‘Comic Con’ Is A Love Letter To Fandom

October (the best time of the year!) is a month chock-full of great vibes and outings for all ages, and to celebrate the festive season RichesArt Gallery – the only black-owned gallery in East Austin – is bringing a newly curated exhibit that merges art with fandom- ‘Comic Con.’

Celebrating all things comic-inspired and featuring over 40 paintings by 30 artists, ‘Comic Con’ is a unique art exhibit where fellow nerds can view and purchase pieces of your favorite characters like Zelda, Mario, Sailor Moon, and more!

Running through October 31st, this month-long exhibit will have additional pop-culture + comic book-themed events:

  • Halloween Fashion Show, October 28th – individuals can enter their cosplay designs/costumes to walk in the show
Closing Reception, October 30th – a family-friendly event where kids in costumes will receive candy and prizes
Comedy shows, art history lectures, and art classes – TBA, stay tuned to the RichesArt Gallery Calendar
