Here is the premise: A good-natured womanizer and a serial cheater (Jason Sudeikis and Alison Brie) form a platonic relationship that helps reform them in ways, while a mutual attraction sets in.
It is very important to catch your audience right away, and SLEEPING WITH OTHER PEOPLE does not do this. Jake (Sudeikis) is not a likeable person right away, he is really kind of a sleaze bag so I really did not care for him much at all. Somewhere a little after midway through the film, it turns into a kind of WHEN HARRY MET SALLY kind of film where two friends of opposite sex share their dating stories while falling for each other; and that sort of turned the film around for me.
Not exactly a date movie, unless you plan on ignoring the first half of the movie and just make out with your date, I can not recommend full price for this one; I say matinee or discount theater.
